Road Washcloths

Five stars. (★★★★★)

I'm still struggling to get my head around this: Apparently many Europeans consider washcloths unsanitary, unnecessary, or simply a personal item that travelers are expected to pack. A large part of the world washes with their hands, and we uncouth Americans have not caught up.
What?
Now that I'm aware of the controversy, I'm Team Washcloth all the way. At home I use a bath pouf for maximum lather; on the road I assume the hotel will provide washcloths. The first time I encountered "missing" washcloths in a French hotel, I thought it was a housekeeping oversight.
(Also, how am I supposed to wash my face at the sink? Am I supposed to do that with only my hands? I don't get it.)
I've learned my lesson. Now I travel with a swedish dishcloth tucked in my suitcase for emergencies.
