Bonus Sunday

Five stars. (★★★★★)

I was supposed to be on a 5:50 a.m. flight out of SFO this morning, kicking off a rough week on the road. The trip was cancelled Friday - or maybe just deferred, but for now I'm living in the joy of "cancelled."

With this gifted alternate reality, I did the Sunday-edition trail run (8.5 miles instead of the usual 6.5), Sunday-edition care routine (hair mask + facial mask), and camped out on the patio with coffee for browsing and blogging. It's only 9:30 a.m.; the whole day is mine!

I'm also reflecting on all the weekend days I've given to packing and traveling for work - especially in recent years - with no notion of "getting the time back" and little consideration of whether I make these personal compromises too readily. Hm.
