Owning Two Cars

I finally bought the new car I've been wanting for years. I think my timing was pretty good; the new 2025 Q5 has upgrades I would have been bummed to miss - and I caught the last wave of inventory before the tarriffs.

Instead of trading in the trusty 2012 I'll take it on one last road trip to Colorado in a couple of weeks, and fly back to California. So, for the first time in my life I own two cars at the same time.

I kind of like this transition time. I've been driving the 2012 to the trails in the morning and taking the new car to work. But the logistics are kind of a hassle, including navigating street parking permits in Menlo Park. I'll be glad to finish the handoff and be back to one car.
